Role Overview:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, industrial and Federal settings. Ensures work complies with relevant codes and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical underground infrastructure, installing PVC, duct banks, manholes, and pulling wire
  • Medium voltage experience, pulling wire, termination. 
  • Install wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures according to blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Set up electrical systems for new construction or remodels, including panels, switches, and grounding systems.
  • Inspect electrical systems, components, and wiring for hazards, defects, or compliance with codes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment or systems.
  • Replace outdated or faulty electrical components to meet current standards or client requirements.
  • Upgrade systems to support new appliances, increased power loads, or energy-efficient technologies.
  • Adhere to all electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper grounding and electrical safety measures are in place.
  • Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and installations.
  • Prepare reports and update blueprints or technical diagrams as necessary.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrical underground, medium voltage, or irrigation experience preferred.


Capabilities:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

Other:

  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. All candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen, and obtain base access.  Must have a valid driver's license.
